Large three bedroom privately owned chalet set in a quiet and tranquil area with its own gardens and boundaries to open fields and a wood, yet is within very short walking distance of bars and shops and quick access to the massive Portes du Soliel ski slopes and high mountains. There are many short or day long walks right from the front door. |

Built in 1995 to the specification of its first Dutch owner who purchased the land before commissioning a Chamonix-valley builder. We have owned it since 2001 and have furnished it throughout to our tastes including refitting the large kitchen to full UK standards rather than a holiday ‘galley’ as it was.
Outside the garden is largely grassed and is surrounded by fields which we own and give lots of privacy. There is a wood at the rear which means that there is always shade to be found in the heat of the summer whilst decked areas make eating outside a pleasure.
Inside the large open plan lounge and dining area linked to the kitchen make for a large airy and comfortable living space. All bedrooms are doubles with one now set out as a working study/reading room. Upstairs the ceilings are high for a traditionally built chalet and give a feeling of space with a long external balcony off one bedroom. There are two bathrooms with separate toilets.
Summer Within easy reach are lots of activities such as mountain walking, white water rafting, mountain biking, swimming, tennis, golf and much more. Sightseeing whether it is to Chamonix for the amazing glaciers, Annecy the “Venice of the Alps”, Geneva for art galleries, museums and boat trips on Lac Leman or to monasteries and castles in the mountain valleys is all possible within a day trip.

Winter Perfectly placed for access to the massive Portes du Soleil ski area within a few minutes drive to the largest ski lift up to the snow. Alternatively St Jean d’Aulps has its own smaller “French family” ski resort which is ideal for beginners and young children as well as being great with fresh powder.

There are restaurants, bars, shops and a supermarket (drive by on the way back from skiing) on the doorstep to make life very easy. |
