If you don’t ski and want to relax but do more than curl up on a sofa then there’s far more than you might believe.  Or you might just want a day off from the slopes.

Winter Activities

Apartment Balmat

Chamonix in the winter is not just for downhill skiing.  There’s:

·                 cross country skiing (ski de fond)

·                 hang-gliding

·                 para-gliding

·                 ice-driving

·                 ice skating

·                 ice hockey

·                 snowmobiles and ski-doos

·                 swimming (indoor)

·                 thermal baths

In the early evening there are lots of bars to sit outside and watch the world go by before dining (in or out).  There are also good night clubs if you’re not too tired and a renowned casino (if you dare).

There are museums, libraries, concerts, cinemas and several nightclubs.

Chamonix’s sports centre is extensive and the Thermal Baths at nearby St Gervais have been well reputed for very many years.

You may like to take a helicopter flight or cable car ride over the Mont Blanc Massif or enjoy a horsedrawn carriage ride through the old streets.
